Bitumen is produced from petroleum and primarily used for the production of asphalt. Its consistency depends largely on temperature — at hot temperatures it is viscous and larger chemical compounds such as aliphatics, petroleum resins, and asphaltenes move freely in the mass. Since asphalt and oxidized bitumen 105/25 are used for road construction as well as for waterproofing work, the longest possible product lifetime is desirable. To slow down the aging of the material, reactions triggered by reactive gases, light, and heat must be minimized.” Once we understand the oxidation behavior of bitumen better, we can look for appropriate measures to prevent atmospheric aging.

Process for the preparation of bitumen 105-25

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of bitumen, bitumen thus prepared and bituminous compositions comprising bitumen thus prepared. Oxidized bitumen 105/25 are widely used for purposes such as road construction, roofing, the coating of pipelines, as binders for briquettes, etc. In many applications the bitumen is mixed with aggregates and/or filler materials which render the resulting mixture strength. For example in road construction bitumen is mixed with sand and stones and the mixture is used as road asphalts. It is evident that the road asphalt should be sufficiently resistent to abrasion and fretting. So, it would be advantageous to prepare bitumens which when mixed with filler material and/or aggregates, show an increased resistence to fretting.

Application of  bitumen 105-25

Bitumen using for isolation, concrete surface coating, pipe coating, asphalt shingle, bottom sealing of carpet, for paving , also used in asphalt-based paints for corrosion protection of metals, in lining public works structures, adhesives in electrical laminates, base for synthetic turf; also use for water-proof application and corrosion resistance for Portland cement pavement, hydraulic applications, paint manufacturing, caulking, mastics, and damp proofing. Oxidized bitumen 105/25 should be heated double temperature against the softening point to be able to have flow and viscosity.
